Public Displays of Creativity

by Paige Fetchen and Tracey Morrison

Public Displays of Creativity is an ongoing project that brings collaborative artwork to the audience of Lillstreet’s surrounding community. Using Lillstreet’s front windows as an exhibition space, this project showcases the art center’s inherent communal environment.

Both coming from craft backgrounds, Paige and Tracey were inspired by everyday objects and common materials for the current display. Using Lillstreet’s holiday slogan as a centerpiece and a dismantled table setting as inspiration, the chaos that surrounds the holidays is represented in the domestic silhouettes that intersect throughout the window.
