This collection of work utilizes the more traditional medium of pencil or ink on paper, creating hard and soft lines through portraiture and natural subject matter. Using insects and parts of the natural world that are not always deemed beautiful, this series focuses on glamorizing and exaggerating feminine and natural beauty.
Jordan Lentz graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014 with a BFA. Post graduation, she has been teaching several different classes in the Drawing and Painting Department at Lillstreet Art Center including Illustration Survey, Fashion Illustration, and Cabinet of Curiosities, as well as pursuing freelance art and illustration. Recently, Lentz became the Director of the Lillstreet Drawing and Painting Department, an amazing opportunity that has given her the ability to teach, direct, and pursue her own artistic endeavors surrounded by a wonderful artistic community.
