I have been greatly inspired by West and Central-African traditions and the various African-Diaspora, creole religious-cultural practices of North, Central and South America, particularly those of Cuba and Haiti. In addition to my studio pottery practice,

I also make a limited number of religious vessels for practitioners of African and African-Diaspora religions, including West African Yoruba-Orisa, Haitian Vodou, Cuban Lucumi (Santeria) and Palo Mayombe, and Brazilian Candomble.
